Submissions Rice & Times is looking for writers who breaks the traditional mold of a journalist. We're looking for writers who can rivet the reader from beginning to end. This person possess the traits of a story-teller whose words can invite the reader into his or her mind. If you are a hard-core fact spouting pundit then you took the wrong exit off the information super highway. This is also not the place for people who can't write an article in between 500-2000 words; you have to be succinct. We are the MTV, microwave dinner eating and channel surfing generation - so deal with it. Topics can vary from social liberalism to right-wing conservatism, the lack of Asian faces in the media or where to find the best boba drink in town. The articles must be well written and a dash of humor is highly desired. Most importantly, your passion about the Asian-American community must shine through your words so luminously that teeth will be brightened.
