2004 Hummer H2
The Hummer H2 - What can I possibly say about this gargantuan of a vehicle? This SUV can certainly speak for itself and you'll understand what I mean when one of these are in your rear-view mirror. Damn, this thing is huge! How many bags of grocery does a soccer mom need to buy from the market these days?
Although I never considered ever buying a H2, I couldn't pass up an opportunity to drive it. This was no ordinary test drive either. I got to drive it on a test track with mounds of dirt, bumps and other goodies that made the heart race. What's the point of driving this beast on flatland right? I wanted to tear shit up!!! Aaaggggghhh...
The interior surprised me by its' level of class. Roominess was not an issue but the inside actually made me forget that I was in a civilian tank. The ergonomics were well put together considering it is an American product. The H2 didn't feel cheap and tacky at all.

The H2 is definitely fun to drive! I drove it on a 35 degree bank with full confidence. I punched the gas on the turns with no tire squeal. I was also allowed to go up to 30 mph and do a quick left then right on the steering wheel. The car handled like a sports car through that maneuver. I was floored by how well this car drove. It's no wonder that the military trust their lives to this vehicle. I would too after driving this thing for the afternoon.
If you want to feel like the rapper 50 cent then the H2 is the way to go. There is no mistaking you on Friday night cruises down the boulevard. Just make sure you have plenty of gas money and a garage that can fit this monster. Prices range from $49,995 for the base model to $53,295 for the LUX trim.
Below is a quick snapshot of the factors that are essential in buying this car.
"So Asian" factor - 3 out of 10
"Keeping up with the Wongs" factor - 5 out of 10
"DAMN!!!" factor - 9 out of 10; Size does matter.
Bang for the buck - 7 out of 10
Overall rating - 7 out of 10
Buy or Bye? - I would have to say "Bye" to the H2. Where the hell would I park this beast? And can you imagine the price of gas to fill this sucker up? Most Asian businesses don't even have parking spaces big enough to fit the H2. If you really want it then go lease one especially if you own your own business (consult your tax attorney).
